ADT® Home Security Monitoring
ADT® home security means your home is connected to a comprehensive network of dedicated ADT® monitoring command centers backed by powerful equipment and trained home security and surveillance professionals.
Five ADT® Customer Monitoring Centers located across the country provide constant monitoring. Through these ADT® Customer Monitoring Centers, a real-time support network handles millions of signals annually and provides significant advantages over traditional, locally based fire-and-intruder-reporting centers. A single ADT® Customer Monitoring Center can monitor hundreds of thousands of homes electronically every day of the year, every hour of the day, and one center can monitor your home for fire, intrusion, and more.
If connections to any one of the ADT® home security alarm-monitoring centers are interrupted, one of the other ADT® monitoring centers takes over promptly, giving ADT® the ability to offer continuous security through our advanced alarm monitoring service and ultimately providing you with continuous peace of mind.
How ADT® Home Security Monitoring Works
1. Your ADT® home security alarm is triggered
When your home security system detects a potential home emergency, it will send a signal to one of ADT's home security alarm monitoring centers around the country.
2. ADT® receives the home alarm signal
Once the home alarm signal is received, a trained ADT® Customer Monitoring Center Professional will assess the situation. Depending on the type of alarm signal that is received, the professional may call your home to determine if the alarm was accidentally activated.
3. The proper authorities are called
In the event of a real emergency, the ADT® home security monitoring center professional will notify the appropriate authorities of the type of emergency at your home.
